I wrote “Without Honour” after much begging by my friend Jan Lamprecht (African Crisis) stirred me into action.

Write almost as an ‘accidental observer’, the story is the true tale of my experiences in the Zimbabwe Republic Police in the early to mid-1980′s in Matabeleland during which time Mugabe unleashed his Korean-trained 5th Brigade on the Ndebele people – twenty to thirty thousand people died in the operation. Robbed, raped, murdered – it all happened.

I must have been a thorn in someone’s flesh because, although I continued to do my job – I was a Prosecutor in Magistrate courts in Essexvale (then renamed Esigodini), Plumtree and Gwanda.

The story comes to it’s natural end when I am compromised as a lonely white policeman in a predominantly black police force.

I left the police in 1984.

The book, only available as an ebook at this time, is available from The Bearded Man’s Shop, whilst I built a website to specifically to celebrate and feature the book at Without Honour

I hope to have the book printed in hard copy in the not too distant future.

Take care.
